Can I use credits at A-B Tech to transfer to another school?

Yes, we offer courses approved to satisfy the Comprehensive  Articulation Agreement general education core requirements which enables courses to transfer to any college or university in the state.  We assist each student entering our program by facilitating transfer of credit to other institutions at or near junior level.Courses usually need to achieve a “C” or better to transfer.

Our Construction Management Technology students have often gone on to secure Bachelor’s Degrees in Science or Master’s Degrees in Construction or Project Management.  Most public and private four-year institutions in North Carolina, and many that are out of state, regularly accept credits from AB Tech and generally enroll the students at approximately the junior level.  The details and affiliations are available by three methods: first, through your program of study advisor; second, through the AB Tech Transfer Advising Center; third through the individual four-year institution.

Our department would rather advise you directly if you have specifically chosen construction as your area of study. It is important to realize that various senior institutions have specific areas of concentration which differ. No two are alike in the area of construction practices.  Your particular area of concentration will impact your decision process.  We are trained to help you make the appropriate decisions.
